LAN Fax Solution for Windows NT Network

LanFax NT 5.0 includes a LanFax NT server software, runs as an NT service, user interfaces for all Windows versions, and a MAPI gateway for sending and receiving faxes from within e-mail, support for Class 1, Class 2 and 2.0, Brooktrout and GammaLink. Runs on NT Workstation or Server, supports NT, Win95, Win3.x clients and support for remote laptop users. Supports TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI. Supports MS Mail, Exchange, cc:Mail, Beyond, and OCR. Exchange style user interface. Fax annotation included. Faxes are filed in a Btrieve based database supporting long file names. A remote access API module that sits above Microsoft RPC. Full MAPI 1.0 Transport layer for mail connectivity (MS Exchange and MS Outlook). It also includes Alcom IntraFax, a fax server solution for Intranets supporting all major platforms and clients.  

LanFax NT 5.0 Server provides your network users with the ability to send and receive faxes from Microsoft Windows applications and a full fax integration for Microsoft Exchange, MS Mail and other MAPI compatible mail systems. Alcom LanFax NT is certified for Microsoft BackOffice and awarded with "Designed for BackOffice" logo.  

LanFax NT 5.0 was designed from the ground up for Windows NT. Alcom LanFax NT 5.0 is a true 32-bit application and operates as a Windows NT service for maximum performance and security. Alcom LanFax NT 5.0 supports Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows NT workstations for faxing that is as easy as printing.

Microsoft Exchange Support  

Alcom LanFax NT 5.0 Server includes LanFax MAPI Transport for Microsoft Exchange. With Alcom LanFax NT 5.0, you can send faxes from Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange using your personal or global address book, include any attachments and click send. The fax message is automatically converted to Group 3 fax and sent out by Alcom LanFax NT 5.0.  

And you can route your incoming faxes directly to your Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Inbox. The incoming faxes appear as an incoming message. Double click on the message and you can view your fax. Now you can use Exchange as your universal inbox:  

  • Send faxes from Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook and MS Mail 
  • Route incoming faxes to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook and MS Mail e-mail boxes. 
Alcom IntraFax  

Alcom LanFax NT Server 5.0 includes Alcom's new IntraFax. Alcom IntraFax allows desktop browsers to act as a front-end for Alcom LanFax NT 5.0. IntraFax provides an HTML interface to Alcom LanFax NT5.0, allowing you to manage your fax mailbox through web browsers such as Netscape Navigator (2.2 and above) and Microsoft Internet Explorer (3.0 and above). Whether you are in your office, at home or on the other side of the world, simply enter the web address of your Alcom LanFax NT and login to access your sent and received faxes. Alcom IntraFax eliminates cross-platform compatibility problems, so you can now send and receive faxes from Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, Sparc station, or any other platform that can use a Web browser with HTML 3.0 support.
